Anna MindelöfAnna Mindelöf, Universum´s Talent Strategy Director, continues to blog about her work with Universum’s employer brand. The days before Christmas were hectic and Anna reports, among other things, about how to engage students.

Our internal engagement survey among Universum employees has finally been sent out and closed! We’re now waiting excitedly for the result.

Right now, we’re reorganizing the marketing department, which takes a lot of my time and because of this my colleague Wuendy, instead of me, went to the Shanghai office.

We’re in the final phase of recruiting for a position in the management team. This means plenty of interviews and personality tests to give feedback on. Our sister company NovaAgentum has helped us with the recruitment and I’ve added a few of my own candidates who I found (or they found me) through LinkedIn – an invaluable working tool!

This month I’ve also, for the second year in a row, been assessing new Master in Management students from the fantastic education the CEMS organization is responsible for. All over the world, 28 top universities/business schools are linked to CEMS; In Sweden it´s Stockholm School of Economics/Handelshögskolan. The students, bright and talented, are from every corner of the world, think globally and embrace diversity. Moreover, a few colleagues and I had a full day of “skills seminars” in our office. Skills seminars highlight one subject at a time and are meant to give students the opportunity to test and learn something during a day. Nine energetic students visited us and the subject for the day was of course employer branding. Petter, our CEO, talked about what we want to achieve in our organization and I talked about internal employer branding. Daniel from sales continued in the afternoon, next was our Marketing Director, and after that we had two workshops. Many good ideas on how to get students to fill in our surveys came up.

Finally, we ended the year with an internal employer branding day and a Christmas party to celebrate one year of great achievements.
