Vilka är trenderna inom employer branding just nu?

En trend är att employer branding har blivit en viktigare fråga för hela organisationen. Ledningen har blivit mer engagerad, man kopplar ihop affärsplanen med talangarbetet och tar ett mer långsiktigt och strategiskt grepp om kompetensförsörjningsfrågan. Det finns en ökad medvetenhet om vilka man behöver attrahera och behålla för att förverkliga affärsplanen eller verksamhetsplanen både på lång och kort sikt. Det leder till en bredare spridning av arbetet inom organisationen och ett ökat samarbete mellan HR och kommunikations- eller marknadsavdelningen. Ytterligare en trend är mätbarhet, som är ett resultat av att man ser en tydligare koppling till affärsplanen eller verksamhetsplanen. Man jobbar mycket mer med att mäta, följa upp och professionalisera arbetet.

Inifrån och ut/true telling

Vi ser också ett större fokus på att bygga sitt arbetsgivarvarumärke inifrån och ut, för att säkra att det som kommuniceras utåt motsvarar verkligheten. Det läggs också stor vikt vid att medarbetarna själva är ambassadörer för sin arbetsgivare. I det nya medielandskapet kommer de att vara en av de bästa kommunikationskanaler man har.

En viktig del är också att stärka de egna medarbetarnas vilja att verka som ambassadörer för företaget och aktivt prata gott om sin arbetsgivare. I en värld där talangerna dränks i information är det de personliga historierna som slår igenom och påverkar.

En stor utmaning är också att särskilja sig från sina konkurrenter och fokusera på att kommunicera det som gör att man som arbetsgivare sticker ut från mängden. Då gäller det att gå tillbaka till sitt unika arbetsgivarerbjudande, sitt employer value proposition, och bygga sin kommunikation utifrån det.

Från employer brand till employer stand

Viktigt att beakta är också att många unga människor har en idealistisk ådra, vilket ställer krav på arbetsgivarna att tydliggöra sina värderingar och vilket samhälle de vill hjälpa till att skapa. Arbetsgivare måste ta ställning. “Vad tror vi på? Varför? Varför spelar det någon roll?” Varumärket som arbetsgivare måste utvecklas till ett ställningstagande som inte bara besvarar frågorna vad och hur utan även varför. Arbetsgivare som förstår unga människors strävan efter mening kommer att sticka ut från mängden. De kommer vara vinnarna på framtidens talangmarknad.

Employer branding kommer i framtiden att bli allt viktigare, och det kommer till stor del att handla om att kunna möta talangerna i deras jakt på mening och visa att företaget står för värderingar som talangerna själva vill förknippas med – kort sagt handlar det om att gå från ett employer brand till ett employer stand.

Långsiktighet

Vi tror också att fler arbetsgivare än idag kommer att bygga upp egna talangpooler. Man kommer att skapa en relation med talangerna mycket tidigare och aktivt underhålla den under en längre tid, så att man har en talangpool som man kontinuerligt kommunicerar med för att kunna rekrytera och behålla medarbetare. En viktig del i det arbetet är att arbeta proffsigare med hela exitprocessen så att det blir lättare att återrekrytera tidigare medarbetare.

Sist och slutligen handlar det om att förutse de framtida talangbehov företaget har, inte bara med fokus på de närmaste två åren, utan i ett längre perspektiv. Hur kommer vår verksamhet att utvecklas och vilka kompetenser behöver vi för att uppnå våra framtida mål? Hur kan vi utbilda och utveckla våra existerande medarbetare och vilka kompetenser behöver vi nyrekrytera för att få in?
