A letter from our CEO: A response to the current pandemic

By Universum on 19/11/2020

Dear reader,

At Universum, our policy and way forward have been one of keeping our employees safe and finding smart ways of keeping in close contact with our clients. Being a global company, we are used to collaborating cross-borders remotely, making the transition relatively smooth. We hope you have had a similar experience.

In early May, as a response to the new demands that COVID-19 carried, we launched two different products, the in-touch Survey and virtual recruitment events. With these products, we have been able to help our clients to better adapt to a remote working environment. These products have been very well received and we are determined not to be diverted from the core of what our business is all about and the problems we want to help companies to resolve, attracting the talent of the future.

Trying to make the most of the situation, we have started working on a couple of different initiatives as a response to this new working environment. These initiatives have both been performed internally and externally to keep up the engagement and activity. We had our first global internal conference virtually, making it to our own festival called “Remotachella”. We also moved our external events to virtual events, including our advisory boards and our largest event of the year, the World’s Most Attractive Employers.

I am also delighted to announce that Universum has become a corporate member of ESOMAR (European Society for Opinion and Market Research). ESOMAR is a non-profit organisation which acts as the global voice and community for market research and companies working with data by promoting the value of market, opinion and social research and data analytics.

For over 30 years, Universum has acted as a trusted partner to many of the world’s best-known employers who subscribe to our data on a country, regional and global level. We have always prided ourselves on conducting the world’s largest talent survey, and our ESOMAR membership is very much in line with our current global reach by allowing us to join an international network of over 4900 existing members from over 130 countries.

Best regards,

Mats Röjdmark
