Do You Know Who’s Ranked Amongst the Top 100 Most Ideal Employers in Mexico?
New York, September 5th, 2023. More than 31,000 students from over 165 universities in Mexico have shared their opinions about their professional interests and aspirations. These insights are gathered in the study “Mexico’s Most Attractive Employers 2023” created by Universum, global leader in Employer Branding, which provides an overall vision of the key motives of talent and their perception of future employers.
According to the results, Mercedes-Benz Group, Walt Disney Company, and Johnson & Johnson (J&J) are three companies that have seen huge increases in the most attractive employer rankings for Business students in Mexico.
With regards to Engineering companies, BBVA and L’Oréal Group have seen improvements compared to the previous year, as both companies saw an increase of over 10 positions, landing them at number 21 and 40, respectively.
Among the Most Attractive Employers for Natural Science students, L’Oréal Group also saw an increase as it moved from number 13 to position number 9 on this year’s ranking. In the Humanities field of study, FMCG companies such as Danone, Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive, and Kellogg were some of the companies that witnessed a significant increase in their ranking position for 2023.
Among students, remote working continues to remain attractive to university students of all main fields of study as 89% of students are interested in remote working. Comparing the results of this year to 2022, we can see that the attractiveness of this way of working increased by 3%.
Additionally, the study found that the gender gap in salary expectations is the smallest in comparison to previous years. One possible explanation lies in the remarkable progress Mexico has made through inclusion policies, fostering equality and reducing gender disparities.
