LONDON, UK — November 8th, 2018 — As a continuation of its 10th annual World’s Most Attractive Employers, which was published on the 19th of September, last week Universum hosted a gala dinner to award the winners, as well as the employers that performed top in their industries. The event was held in Central London at the prestigious Café de Paris, in front of an audience of over one hundred representatives of top employers from around the globe.
Universum’s MD for the Nordics and Employer Branding Academy CEO, Claes Peyron hosted the evening. Describing the outcome of the event, Peyron said “We were happy with the outcome of the gala, it was everything we could have hoped for. It was so rewarding to have all of our prestigious and international clients gathered under one roof. Not only did the evening provide a space for learning and sharing ideas but we also had a lot of fun.”
During the evening Universum’s Global Head of Strategy, Richard Mosley, presented the overall trends from the 2018 Most Attractive Employers study. This year Universum surveyed over 225,000 business and engineering/IT students from the world’s 12 largest economies (Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia South Korea, the UK, and the USA), and asked them to provide insight on company characteristics they find most attractive in a potential employer as well as who they perceive to be their ideal employer.
Throughout the evening, awards were presented by Universum’s Chairman of the Strategic Board, Claudia Tattanelli, as well as Universum CEO, Petter Nylander. Commenting on the event, Nylander said “It was fantastic to see all these amazing employers gathered together in one room to recognise their employer branding achievements and support their peers. 2018 marked the tenth year of Universum’s WMAE ranking and there was no better way to honour this occasion than to celebrate with the leaders in talent attraction. A strong employer brand is not built overnight; thus these employers should be commended for their efforts in continually attracting talent on a global level.”
