EB Now 2019 Privacy Information Notice

EB NOW – Privacy Information Notice 
This information notice applies to the processing of personal information by Universum Communications Sweden AB (hereafter: “Universum”, “us”) for the purpose of the EB Now Survey. For more information about how we process your personal data, please consult Universum’s general privacy policy here.

The EB Now Survey is subject to Universum’s general terms and conditions here.

For participants in the EB NOW Survey Competition, the following General Terms & Conditions For Participation In Competitions will apply.

Universum may collect, process or retain personal data about you;

  • a) when you submit your answers to the EB NOW survey
  • b) when you sign up for the results of the EB NOW Survey
  • c) when you sign up for a three-month subscription to Universum’s Ruby membership tier.
  • d) when you participate in the EB NOW Survey competition

Universum may collect your technical data, inter alia, IP address and information that may be derived from IP address (e.g. demographic location), as well as time logs, when you perform the EB NOW Survey.

Universum may also request for various types of information about you, inter alia, personal details (your full name), your contact details (e-mail address), employment related information (job title) and your answers to the EB NOW Survey.

Universum may process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • a) To manage and monitor the security of our sites, networks and systems and the software managing the survey against external cyber-attacks.
  • b) To communicate with you when the results of the EB NOW survey are published and available, where applicable.
  • c) To assess your contributions to the EB NOW Survey Competition and to appoint a winner, where applicable.
  • d) To publish the winner’s name on the website https://universumgloal.com/ebnow19winner to inform the participants and others that the competition is completed, as well as to inspire other to participate in Universum’s competitions (marketing).

Universum may process personal data under the following conditions: 
Contractual obligation – in order to provide you with the products and services you have signed up for, we need to process information about you.

Legitimate interest – we may rely on our legitimate interest (preceded by a balancing assessment against the individual’s interests, rights and freedoms) to process personal information for various purposes above, such as (i) to manage and monitor the security of our sites, networks and systems and (ii) to market and promote our products and services.

Universum may store your personal data under the following periods:

Universum will not store your personal data for a longer period than necessary considering the purpose for which the personal information was collected, inter alia:

  • • The technical data Universum collects about you is automatically deleted within 48 hours provided no incident has been detected. In case of an incident, Universum will process your personal data until the incident is solved.
  • • Universum will store the contact information you have provided until the results of the EB NOW survey of 2019 are published (in June 2019), or, if you participate in the EB NOW Survey Competition, up to 30 days after the winner of the EB NOW survey of 2019’s competition has been published and communicated.
  • • If you participate in the EB Now Survey and wins, Universum may process your personal data for up to two years after the competition is completed.

Recipients of personal data

We may share personal information with third-party service providers to perform business functions on behalf of Universum. A transfer of personal data is only performed after careful consideration and with suitable data processing arrangements in place with such recipients, and in case the recipients are located outside the EU/EEA, Universum will undertake reasonable efforts to ensure that the personal data transferred is subject to appropriate privacy protection measures ensuring an adequate level of protection that is comparable with the protection level afforded to individuals in the EU/EEA.
