The Rise of AI: How the presence of this technology will affect the labour market
In today’s episode our host Claes Peyron, Managing Director Nordics, UK&I at Universum, is joined by two people in the studio: PhD Magdalena Stadin who works as postdoc in Human-Computer Interaction at the department of Information Technology at Uppsala University, and, Associate Professor Magnus Lodefalk who also is the initiator of the AI-Econ Lab at Örebro University as well as affiliated to the Ratio research institute. Together they discuss how Artificial Intelligence or AI affects and will affect the labor market.
Over the course of history we’ve seen how technology can replace a job that was once human operated. However, with any new technology, what replaces one job might open the door for a new area of skilled labour. Will AI replace us and take our jobs in the future? Or will it allow development for new roles and career paths? What type of skills will be less and more important, and how should you think from a HR recruitment part of view?
Listen to the episode and find out this and much more!
