Universum Awards: The Most Attractive Employers in the Netherlands


On Monday, June 13th 2016, the first Universum Awards took place in the Netherlands. During this event experts in the field of employer branding and HR from top companies gathered at the beautiful surroundings of Amsterdam’s Tolhuistuin.

This year more than 19,700 students responded to the survey. Derived from the results, Universum has shared the latest insights, trends and also revealed which companies students consider to be The Most Attractive Employers in the Netherlands.

The two companies that have been ranked first place are HEINEKEN (among Business students) and Google (among Technical students).

Universum also rewarded companies for their outstanding performance on four special attributes:

TUI won the prize for being the The Highest Climber among Technical students.


Linda Luidens – Manager Resourcing, Learning & Talent, TUI Nederland, Jeff Lagerweij – Recruiter at TUIfly

European Space Agency was named best performer for Innovation among Technical students.


Frank Salzgeber – Head of Technology Transfer Programme Office, Valerie Kayser – Head of the HR Competence and Policy Centre, Eric Wille – System Engineer, Friederike Beyer – System Engineer and Anthony Thirkettle – Mechanical/Structures Engineer

Business students chose Coolblue as the most Fast-growing/Entrepreneurial company.

ORMIT was ranked  #1 by business students for companies with  Leaders who support development.
