Information regarding the competition and the performance

Relevant terms for the competition:
The competition is open to all current undergraduate and graduate students, who completed the Universum’s Career Test survey for 2019 in the United States and registered upon completion of the survey. Any person not subject to completing the survey is not eligible to participate in this competition. This competition is done in accordance with Universum’s
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN COMPETITIONS. The participants must reside in the United States.

Relevant time limits:
The competition will start on the 16 October 2018 and will continue until the 12 of February 2019, or until the  2019 survey closes for the United States, if different from the latter.

The competition task/performance:
The participants need to answer the following question: “In your opinion, what is the most useful item to buy with a $10 USD Amazon gift-card?”. The answers will be evaluated on creativity and conciseness. Fourteen (14) winners will be awarded a prize* on a monthly basis, from October 2018 until February 2019.

Information regarding how the winner is appointed and the criteria assessed when appointing a winner:
Creativity and conciseness will be evaluated by the jury. The jury will consist of 3 members: Juan Figueroa, Maria Paris, and Natasja Geigert. All winners need to be unanimously approved.

Information regarding where and when the names of the winners will be published:
The results of the competition will be announced on 4 different batches: mid-November 2018,  mid-December 2018, mid-January, and mid-February. The results will be published on the competition’s website for a period of two (2) months, and the winners will also be informed personally by email.

*Awards/prizes:
The awards are 70 e-gift cards from Amazon (
https://www.amazon.com), one to be awarded to each winner. The prize needs to be claimed within the first 30 days of receiving the winning announcement.

Other:
The same terms apply to all participants in the competition. The assessment of the contributions will be impartial, and the competition will be conducted according to the rules that Universum hereby informed about and included in the

Please note that Universum will need to share the first name, last name and university email address of each winner with their respective college store in order for the prize to be awarded. If the winner fails to provide this information and permission within 14 days, Universum will award a new winner instead.

Information regarding how the winner is appointed and the criteria assessed when appointing a winner:
Creativity and conciseness will be evaluated by the jury. The jury will consist of 3 members: Juan Figueroa, Maria Paris, and Natasja Geigert. All winners need to be unanimously approved.

Information regarding where and when the names of the winners will be published:

The giveaway is open to all current undergraduate students enrolled in the following universities: Brown University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Yale University, Stanford, and MIT, who completed the Universum’s Career Test survey for 2019 during the days of November 19th, 2018 and November 28th, 2018 in the United States and registered upon completion of the survey. Any person not subject to completing the survey is not eligible to participate in this giveaway. This giveaway is done in accordance with Universum’s
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN COMPETITIONS. The participants must reside in the United States.

Relevant time limits:
The competition will start on the 19 November 2018 and will continue until the 28 of November 2019.

The giveaway task/performance:
The participants need to redeem their giveaway by clicking on the Thanksgiving Giveaway content card and submitting their e-mail address.

All complete ivy league respondents are guaranteed winners of a $10 USD Amazon gift-card.
